Chang Lang Beach, Trang

Location: Moo 4, Tambon Mai Fad, Amphoe Sikao.
How to get there: From the city of Trang, take the Highway 4046 to 4612 to the junction that leads to the beachfront road and turn left into it, passing Pak Meng Beach for about 5 kilometers.


The fantastic beach of the lower Andaman, although the name “Chang Lang” is not as well known as Pak Meng Beach of Trang, it is the same area that stretches from Pak Meng Beach before reaching Chao Mai Beach of Had Chao Mai National Park. The peaceful atmosphere amidst beautiful nature, shaded area under lines of pine trees and the clear stream flowing from mangrove forests to the sea is the real fascination of nature.

Chang Lang Beach though rested near Pak Meng Beach; the natural feature of the beach is different. The sand here is very clean and white of crystal clear water and shallow sea. Besides swimming, tourists can visit other islands not far from shore such as Koh Muk (Morakot Cave), Koh Chuak, Koh Waen, Koh Ma, Koh Kradan and Koh Ngai.

Drive along Highway number 4 or Phetchakasem Road parallel Phetchaburi Shoreline to the south. There is the road to the beach starting at Chao Samran Beach, 15 kilometers from town with quiet atmosphere shaded by pine trees. A walkway along the beach is good for strolling along or watching the scenery.

Southwards is the location of Puek Tian Beach, 22 kilometers from Phetchaburi Town with the length of 4 kilometers. The beach is white, clean and very wide at low tide and popular relaxing place for Phetchaburi people. The most entertainment and fun beach of Phetcharui is at Cha-Am Beach.

Location: By the Andaman shore with Highway number 4 (Phetchakasem) skirting by every beach from kilometer marker number 40 in tambon Bang Muang, Amphoe Takuapa for about 20 kilometers to kilometer marker number 60.

How to get there:
By car: from Amphoe Takuapa, ones will see Bang Sak Beach before, whereas from Amphoe thai Muang, Khao Lak Beach can be reached first. Every beach is conveniently accessible through the road by the beach.

By bus: take the Ranong to Phuket or Surat Thani to Phuket routes to the entrance and walk further to the beach.

In the past, going to Phang Nga meant visiting the Phang Nga Bay by boat to see Khao Tapu and Koh Pan Yee. Later, it included a visit to the Surins and the Similans, two archipelagos with Thailand’s most beautiful shallow and deep underwater world. Today, to vitsit Phang Nga also means no need to take a boat trip out to the sea, as this is Khao Lak, the most beautiful beach in Phang Nga sore, so beautiful that overseas tourists put it among the first destinations in visiting Thailand.

The Phetchakasem Road will lead to Khao Lak. The interesting spot is on the way down the hill to the beach where there is a view point overlooking Khao Lak at a high angle. In fact, Khao Lak also includes Nang Thong Beach; Bang Niang Beach; Khuk Khak Beach and Laem Pakarang, which can be seen from this viewpoint as the same beach.

Location: Ban Krud, Thong Chai Sub District, Bang Saphan District.
How to get there: After passing Prachuap Town and Thap Sakae District to the south, straight to Bang Saphan District, turn left at kilometer marker 382 to Petchakasem to Ban Krud Road. Cross the rail line and forward to Ban Krud Beach totaling 9 kilometers.


Unless there was the power plant case, Bang Saphan would not be well known until today. On the left side of Phetchakasem Road is Ban Krud Beach located about 9 kilometers from the main road reached by using the by-path road stretching to the beach. The wonderful original nature is waiting to be touched.

Highlights of Ban Krud Beach is the long beach of 12 kilometers along the small beach road shaded by coconut trees, the fruit which has been the source of occupations of Ban Krud people for a long time.

The beach area is spacious without any construction and has not many tourists to spoil the original beauty except the clean brown sand and the sea of moderate level for good swimming. The beach area begins at Khao Thong Chai at the north stretching to reach the southern trips.

Chonburi is the nearest resort town from Bangkok can be visited conveniently and takes least time and is the least tiring trips, full of fun. It is said that great entertainment of the beach and fun are the parallel things as Pattaya is the good example.

Trat Coastline to Khlong Yai It is surprising that Trat is one of Thailand’s popular tourist destinations but its Mung District is just a small town. Normally, tourists will pass Trat Town and go straight to Koh Chang by using the by-path road to Ferry Piers. Trat, a small town is convenient to visit and no need to have a bus service since every destination is located close to each other. The destinations for most tourists who travel Trat are Koh Chang firstly followed by Koh Kood, Koh Mark and other nearby islands. Very few tourists plan to visit the beach since there is only the islands tour in their first though. Trat has the striking features of its beautiful islands. But for nature like tourists, Trat has the beach road parallel Trat Khlong Yai Road that is wonderful and very quiet, suitable to be the relaxing place among friends or famiies especially at Muk Kaew Beach.
