Central Thailand Healthy Food at Anotai Vegetarian Restaurant

Healthy Food at Anotai Vegetarian Restaurant

It is never a coincidence that a vegetarian restaurant with pleasing dishes is chosen especially, particularly if you are still passionate about meat. Anotai, however, has opened and maintained its richly assorted menu for better health, available both in the form of local and foreign cuisine, all cooked using natural ingredients, free of meat and synthetic chemicals.

Stepping inside Anotai, the first impression is one of tranquility and the simplicity of the restaurant. Khun Anotai Kongvatana, proprietor of the restaurant, gives us the background to this vegetarian restaurant that started with a personal interest in vegetarian food called “Pluk Ruk”, everything seemed to be falling into place when she decided to open Anotai vegetarian restaurant using most of the fresh, green produce from the family farm, while she serves dishes of her own design and new concoctions.

For the decor, patrons' comfort takes precedent when dining at Anotai. Furniture here is therefore made mainly of dark woods with the gentle touch of bamboo in the form of bamboo bushes in front of the restaurant and glass panels on the exterior. Bamboo is the favorite plant chosen as decorative items for the restaurant, picked for its attributes akin to those of humans, constituting strength, gentleness, beauty and respect.

Nori wrapped Tofu with Wasabi Mayo dip is the first recommended dish as a starter. Nicely balanced, Japanese tofu has the right texture and plenty of pores to allow the absorption of the delicious dipping. Therefore, you can savor the delicious mellow taste. Of course, it is the dipping that Khun Anotai has invented using piquant Japanese Wasabi and mayonnaise to lessen the sharpness of Wasabi with the smooth creamy essence. This unique dipping therefore is pleasing to diners who may not find Wasabi particularly to their liking.

Spicy Tofu and Cilantro Dip and fresh vegetables is another recommended dish that this restaurant's patrons' seal of approval, given their preference for vegetables. In addition to its freshness, diners can also enjoy organically grown vegetables without concern as they come from Khun Anotai's very own synthetic-chemical-free farm. Hard white tofu substitutes for meat; scalded and finely chopped before being consumed with fresh vegetables.

Spaghetti Alfredow/tomato is a dish not to be missed. The secret lies in the ketchup used in the cooking, as it is homemade using freshly picked tomatoes from the farm. Thus, the ketchup is deliciously thick with bits of tomatoes without being too rich. The dish never fails to pleases; especially those seeking to avoid creamy dishes.

For those interested in savories, Anotai offers a wide range of homemade bakery items. As they are made of dairy products like egg and milk, they are considered non-vegetarian dishes. Nonetheless, they make the meal more colorful. And the culinary delight between savories and desserts never seems to end if you have a passion for aromatic and tasty tea. Anotai offers you the delight of mellow herbal tea served in a wooden tray, together with cups and teakettle that allows unlimited refills of hot water; not only for the taste, it is also good for health.

Offering more than just for health, Anotai also provides yoga and floral arrangement classes, combining art and beauty to induce a physical and mental balance. Experience the joy of healthy living and revitalize your body and soul with good food from the bosom of nature at Anotai Restaurant. Anotai Restaurant is located at 976/17.
